I think the annoying over-engineering we see with making automatic things that worked just fine as mechanical devices will get even worse as they start to try to shove everything into the internet of things.
Like the new soda fountains with touch screens you have to navigate through sub menus on before you can push push the button vs. the old way, just hold your cup under it. That was already pretty awesome technology imo. I like the automated bathroom, & would like it even more if there were more physical overrides like on paper towels. Because some of the timing, like waving my hands around over and over for half second bursts of water isn't good.
I voted for toilets only. I don't like not being able to control the water temperature when I wash my hands. I have yet to find a paper towel dispenser that provides adequate paper to dry my hands.
THIS. This is the absolute worst of them all. The annoying part is they have the gall to call it the most hygienic of all the hand dryers. This piece of **** that moves the hands all over so eventually one ends up touching every part of the dryer with their hands.
Was washing my hands today at work and forever reason we have manual faucets, automated soap dispensers and both manual and automated towel dispensers. Normally the soap dispenser spazzes out while I wash my hands and tries to spit out soap as I'm going through the motions. Today though I ended up on the far left sink right up next to one of the automatic towel dispensers, so every time I moved my right arm towels were being spit out and if I moved my right soap was getting spit into the sink (if I forget it goes all over my shirt cuffs). Normally though these are my yays and nays: Sink - yay Soap - yay Towels - iffy yay (normally don't really care between the two... manual towel dispensers towels do occasionally get stuck up in the repository meaning you have to reach up into it which is the only time I don't prefer the manual) Urinal - yay Toilets - nay (hate feeling like if I move at all the toilet's going to flush) <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Y-E0W6BS3dQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
