Need help with some auto repair, particularly a braking light. One of the brake lights on my 2003 Camry doesn't respond when braking. In comparison, the opposite side's light turns on brighter when braking. When I turn the lights on all the way (not the daylight-running lamps), both turn on, but only one turns on FULLY when braking. Was in a hurry this morning, so I didn't look at the manual to see what fuses I could check. I checked the fuse box under the hood and there is no "TAIL" or "BRAKE" label. Has anyone dealt with this before or has an idea what else I can check to get the right brake light to respond to braking again? I say "respond" because the light is on when the regular lamps are on. This Mexican has a manual but no Manuel to help him figure this one out.
Replace the bulb. Either seperate bulbs for "running" light and brake light or the same bulb has 2 different filaments in it and one filament burned out. (physical inspection) Its not a fuse because lights arent on seperate fuses. (both brake lights would be out)
Go into the trunk and there is a soft trim panel behind the t/lamp that is pretty easy to pull away. After you remove that, you can remove the nuts that hold the t/lamp to the body. Untwist the socket that holds the brake bulb. Should be a few bucks at NAPA, Autozone, etc.
 I know how to do all THAT already. The Camry has "easy access" felt panels that can be removed easily. I just wondered if it could have been something else. Thanks.
Maybe I missed the difficult part, and..... I hate to interject after mission accomplished and all, but.... your light was out, and you needed advice to get you to replace the bulb? "Has anyone dealt with this before?".... ja ja ja
No, señor. The light wasn't out. It was on with the regular lights and just wasn't turning on with the brake.
