Auto insurance

Bought a car last week and realized my wife has not notified our insurance agency( Farmers). Don't I get a grace period where they will automatically cover me before I call them to let them know? Wanting to get out tonight but not at the expense of no coverage.

Its either 14 days or a month. Im pretty sure its a month though, but yeah, there is a grace period to get covered.
