Man, that sucks. I hope you get it all sorted out and that the idiot gets what's coming to him. I really have been getting progressively more scared of these 4 way stop intersections as more and more people are coming out of their houses and getting back on the roads. The worst is at night where there is no power so it's pitch black and some idiots just drive on through. I have been definitely making sure there is a car on my left before I start entering into these no mans lands.

Without witnesses and without a police report, you are SOL unfortunately. Its your word against his, his insurance company is going to go with his story and vice versa.

And don't count on getting KBB value, beause thats not what most insurance companies pay off of. They usually give you "actual cash value" or "fair market value". Research Autotrader and local newspapers for similar vehicles and that will give you an idea of what to expect. KBB and NADA don't determine market values.

A friend of mine in the insurance industry told me this when some idiot totalled my car a couple of years ago...

You can dispute the "fair market" offer given to you by the insurance company. In fact, not only can you dispute it, but they expect you to. They have a built in number, above the offer number, that they're authorized to settle at. I got close to a thousand more for my vehicle than they'd initially offered just by negotiating a better deal.
