Frankly, if you're stupid enough to take medical advice from Jenny McCarthy, your kid is probably ****ed no matter what.

That's not fair! She's a big advocate of drinking water which is sound medical advice.

Totally different. We are talking about high levels of mercury. You don't see several companies banning salt do you?

Just to be clear, I could give two sh**s about Jenny McCarthy or what she has said. I'm not even saying vaccines are responsible for autism. What I'm saying is, there is no denying Thimerosol can be extremely harmful And should not be in our vaccines period.

I know it is a government agency and can't be trusted (sarcasm) but try some research here:

    http://www.cdc.gov/vaccinesafety/concerns/thimerosal/index.html

"Thimerosal is a mercury-containing preservative used in some vaccines and other products since the 1930's. There is no convincing evidence of harm caused by the low doses of thimerosal in vaccines, except for minor reactions like redness and swelling at the injection site. However, in July 1999, the Public Health Service agencies, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and vaccine manufacturers agreed that thimerosal should be reduced or eliminated in vaccines as a precautionary measure."

It's been removed from nearly all vaccines for a long time.

You are missing the point. It is not the levels of chlorine in salt that make it good or bad, it is the way it is bound molecularly with sodium. The same reason we can't breathe underwater even though it is has oxygen. Just because a compound has an element in it (ie mercury in Thimerosol) doesn't mean that element is harmful when that compound is ingested. Now I don't know everything about Thimerosol so I am not claiming it is harmful or safe, just pointing out that saying "It has mercury in it, and mercury is bad" is not relevant to the safety of Thimerosol.

Thanks to ****ing morons like Jenny McCarthy, measles cases are increasing.

This follows the recent release of a massive review of studies into the side effects of vaccination, summarized here by Nature, which did not find convincing support for the idea that MMR shots caused autism.

In conclusion, people who don't vaccinate their kids are ****ing idiots.

I completely agree. I have a good friend who's daughter is autistic and he agrees. Any one who doesn't have their children regularly vaccinated are not only idiots, I believe them to be borderline criminals. They are putting the public at a greater risk.

people kept telling me to get my kid vaccinated gradually. I just made him get the entire cocktail upfront because living in this "cosmopolitan" city, you need to make sure you are protected.

I wasn't able to read the article or watch the videos, but the vaccines linked to autism thing I heard about a few years ago is scary. I don't know why any responsible parent would put their child at an increased risk of autism.

Do you feel better about putting your kid at much higher risk of getting diseases?

First the autism public crusader, then the Emma Stone perv.

Jim Carrey really likes to disappear/Andy Kaufman into his characters, even when the jokes aren't so obvious.

    Bravo; what an incredible performer.
