I guess no one saw the news this morning in which the accuser's mother is on tape praising Michael Jackson supposedly around the same time as the allegations. I will try to find a Link but I saw it This Morning America.

http://abcnews.go.com/sections/Entertainment/US/michael_jackson_031126-1.htmlABCNEWS legal contributor Kimberly Guilfoyle Newsom heard the tape, which was made in February by an investigator on behalf of Jackson, and she said there was no indication from the sound of the voices that the statements were coerced or had been rehearsed.

The boy and his mother said that Jackson never acted inappropriately with the child, Guilfoyle Newsom said. The tape was provided to her by a source close to the defense.

They praised Jackson for providing support, love, guidance and advice, and the boy's mother said that God had blessed them by bringing Jackson into their lives, Guilfoyle Newsom said today on ABCNEWS' Good Morning America.

In the tape, the mother described Jackson as a "father figure" to her children.

"There are few questions asked," Guilfoyle Newsom said. "It was mostly the mother and alleged victim in this case and one other child, her other son, making statements, talking about Michael Jackson how he was a father to them and how they considered him to be family."

Sometime after the tape was made, the accuser's mother said that she had felt like a "hostage" at Jackson's Neverland Ranch, but Guilfoyle Newsom said there is no hint of any feeling like that on the tape.

"On the tape, she's effusive about her praise," she said.

The tape and affidavit could be extremely damaging to the prosecution, said Guilfoyle Newsom, who is herself a prosecutor. If the boy testifies, the tape could be introduced by the defense to raise questions about his credibility, and he could be forced to say that he lied in the tape and affidavit, she said.

The revelation of the tape comes as The Associated Press reported that the family of the child was involved in two earlier cases that involved allegations of abuse: a lawsuit in which the family said they were battered by mall security guards, and a divorce fight in which the father pleaded no contest to spousal abuse and child cruelty.

From what I heard on the news the boy an dher mom thanked Michale for being so kind to them when he let them stay at his "ranch". He said in effect "ya your welcome... say... do you mind saying that on camera?" Mom said "uh sure why not..." Michael then immediately took them into a room already set up and taped the thank you.
    Draw your own conclusions...

    .

But the mom claims to have felt like a hostage at the ranch, she didn't remember feeling like that when the tape was made.

    Another Twist
New Document May Back Jackson's Defense

Dec. 9 — Authorities in Los Angeles cleared Michael Jackson months ago of sexual allegations involving the same boy making claims against the singer in a Santa Barbara criminal case, according to a confidential document.

The internal government memo, obtained by The Smoking Gun Web site (www.thesmokinggun.com), says Los Angeles police and child welfare officials concluded that sexual allegations against Jackson were "unfounded" months before the pop star was arrested on molestation charges in Santa Barbara on Nov. 20.

The memo, which followed a confidential investigation by Los Angeles police and child welfare officials, said the minor "denied any form of sexual abuse" and said that he never "slept in the same bed as the entertainer."

The document said the boy had denied the allegations when questioned by a social worker assigned to the Sensitive Case Unit of L.A.'s Department of Children and Family Services back in February of this year.

Bill Bastone, editor of The Smoking Gun says he called Santa Barbara investigators and briefed them on the existence of the document before releasing it on his Web site.

"They were very surprised and basically said California law does not allow them to comment on any degree of the investigation," Bastone told ABCNEWS' Good Morning America. "They essentially confirmed that the document is real as we already knew but beyond that they couldn't talk about it, which is what we expected."

Bastone did not reveal how the document was obtained by The Smoking Gun.

Jackson, 45, was booked last month in Santa Barbara County on multiple counts of child molestation after the 14-year-old boy alleged the self-proclaimed King of Pop sexually abused him during visits to Jackson's Neverland Ranch. The boy was 12 at the time of the alleged abuse. Jackson has labeled the allegations "a big lie."

The document, which does not use Jackson's name, referring to him only as "the entertainer," resulted from an investigation that was launched in response to a complaint filed by an official from the Los Angeles Unified School District
