Austin Rivers expects 'fireworks' when Clippers play Rockets next season

    Remind yourself to mark down when the Los Angeles Clippers play the Houston Rockets on your calendar once next season's NBA schedule is released, especially now that Chris Paul has switched sides.

    "That will be an interesting game," Clippers guard Austin Rivers told TMZ Sports. "For sure there will be a lot of emotion in that game. That's the beauty about sports, man. Business and basketball are two different things. They say don't take it personal, but everybody does.

    "You saw what happened when the (Golden State) Warriors played the (Oklahoma City) Thunder this year. There was a lot of emotion in there. I don't think it will be quite like that, but there will definitely be a lot of fireworks that game, if I had to take a guess."

    There's always a big-game feel whenever a former All-Star leaves town and returns as a member of the opposition, which Rivers was alluding to when bringing up Warriors-Thunder and the deafening reaction the four-time scoring champion Kevin Durant received at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

    Paul donned a Clippers uniform for six seasons, leading his teammates to a playoff berth every single year. All of the goodwill he earned during his tenure won't amount to much when he's back at Staples Center, though, as it's safe to assume the reception he'll receive from Clippers faithful won't be entirely positive.

    I'm nearly passed out on the couch...but I had to read this NapoleonComplex start stuff before the season. I don't do Twitter, but someone send him that clip of James putting him on skates during a crucial stretch in the Rockets 3-1 comeback against LobCity. Also, send a clip of our Jet terry embarrassing him in the 2nd unit in his elderly years in the league.

    What Austiny doesn't admit is that almost every guy on the Clips cannot stand him. Well, aside from dad. I've heard it's his cocky demeanor and lack of general respect for vets. That's a common/unsaid understanding. Even the vets that you're playing over in minutes--you respect them for their time and work in the league. It's hard to stay in the league year after year.

    Anyway, I'm not a fan of the kid, nor will I ever be. Sure, his game has gotten better, and he owes everything to his father for rescuing him. When he was away from the CLippers, he was struggling to hit easy jumpers.

    /Rant, time for lots of ice and sleep.

    Austin Rivers should have spent more time in G league. Maybe then he might understand what his team actually needs.

    Also, if I'm Pat Bev, how do I not walk in on day one and give that entire team **** for coughing up a 3-1 lead. If harden doesn't give Cp3 **** I'll be mad.
