Thanks for the tip! I'm thinking of pouring a liter of this into a Camelbak. Anyone got any suggestions on alcohol drink mixers for use this weekend?? Thanks :)

Camelbak has to be empty... but you can put ice in it?

Don't remember what I did last year for sneaking stuff in. I don't they checked me for anything.

They look in your bag and coolers, but they don't dig around. They don't check pockets or anything. It's about as lax as could be for something this size.

when i say i've "snuck in" entire bottles of makers, i'm not being facetious... i have literally brought in entire bottles into acl before. they don't dig around in your bag at all. just cover it in a towel and you're golden.

If you take in a folding chair, you can put stuff in the bottom of the chair bag pretty easily. We did that with just basic drinks, but no one ever even looked in the chair bag, and if they did, they'd have to look through the chair down to the bottom.

It really depends on the person checking your bag -- some will just glance in others will make you pull stuff out. I think the key is not to overdue your beverage smuggling. Security definitely checks the bags more than they used to.

Always go to the line with anyone with a beard. If they are wearing a funny hat it is a double bonus.

We should have a clutchfans meetup in Austin. At this point I'm not planning on going to ACL but that could change. Will be in town Saturday - Monday for the Grizz Bear and Ghostland shows. If anyone else will be at those I'll buy your first Lone Star. :)

I'll be with the kids on Friday, but just the wife and me the rest of the time. Shoot me an email through here...

Anyone know anyone trying to get rid of 1 3-day pass anywhere close to face value? A good friend of mine is, to say the least, a procrastinator.

Have him check craigslist or even buy one on Friday. I am confident the prices will be close to face if not less.

craigslist prices are still well over $200. I've told him just to chance it and go down there on Friday and look for the desperate ones just trying to get beer money...

Anyone here going to see Them Crooked Vultures tonight? It looks like I'm getting stood up, and I don't want to be "that guy" who goes to concerts by himself.

Seems like one you could comfortably go on your own. Just get close to the stage and no one will know the difference.
