I might go to Friday and/or Sunday of this if I have the extra money (have to buy my Fun Fun Fun Fest ticket first), both of those have solid line-ups. Saturday is really terrible though.

I mostly just want to see Outkast and The Replacements. Bonuses would be Pearl Jam, St Vincent, Chvrches, B&S, and Spoon

8 or 8:30. Since they are one of the biggest I'm sure they will have the 8:30 to 10:00 slot.

Not until closer til the festival starts. Last year it was late August or September. That is probably the best part of the whole show. Remember seeing Big KRIT two years ago and hung out with a group from Toronto that were huge fans of KRIT. Last year went to see Junip and Valerie June. Was the best thing about that weekend. Serious to anybody coming to ACL. Look for the nights. It's usually around 20 dollars per show and if you want to see and meet any of the bands, this is the perfect opportunity.

Yeah, I think I'm just going to do those this year. The lineup doesn't thrill me all that much and there are about 6-7 bands I really want to see. If a couple of them have aftershows, I'll be happy.

do they have multiple artists playing at the same time? I'm assuming one big and few minor ones at a time?

Yes... You are asking about the festival? Yeah they usually have four to five bands playing the different stages throughout the day. It starts slowing down towards the end of the night. For example, last year Friday to close out the show was Queens of the Stone age on one stage while as soon as they ended Depeche Mode was starting on a another stage. Then 30 minutes later Muse went on the stage as Queens of the Stone Age were on to close out the show. They usually have two bands end each show in order to prevent overcrowding at just one. Usually works. I know that FPSF is good at having a EDM act closing so it prevents overcrowding for acts like Jack White. The worst for me is FFF fest. They always have a Hip Hop act vs Heavy Metal. I swear it ruined one year with the disaster of Danzig and not being able to see Public Enemy. Then last year I ended up catching half of Slayer and running to catch the tail end of Jurrasic Five. Think this year will at least be better because I hate King Diamond and Judas Priest. More of a Motorhead kind of guy.
