Aussie sentenced 20 years for pot

    Bull****. Try 900lbs. I hope that was an attempt(albeit very inaccurate) at illustrating how it may look awkward in the boogie board bag, because 9lbs would easily fit in a bag of that type.

    The only thing this will help discourage is the smuggling of any amount of illegal drugs into Indonesia by tourists and leaving baggage unlocked for tampering.

    Worldwise mar1juana usage or the use of any other illegal drug won't be affected in the slightest by this ruling.

    i cant believe that most of you are completely ignoring the fact that baggage handelers in BOTH countries use this method of smuggling narcotics ALL THE TIME. this is not some wacked out claim she's making up out of thin air, this is a common practice, and it's landed innocent people in jail before.

    i tend to believe her innocence is far more likely than her guilt. she was an easy target for the smugglers.

    and regardless, 20 yrs. is ridiculous for 9 lbs of pot.
