So is McGrady just having this surgery just so he does not get traded? I am so confused.

Tmac is a complete fool and a introverted and cocky prick. I've been b!!tching ever since ESPN broke the news that TMAC handled this situation VERY poorly. This should have been a TEAM announcement and a TEAM decision. Since when can player announce what that HE will take the rest of the season off, or will miss xxx games, without even consulting the team first, and allowing the team the necessarily preparations. Instead he goes talk to the cocky loudmouth prick Smith, which I guess he felt mouth comfortable around because their personalities are so similiar.

what a complete prick. I don't care what any of you Tmac-defenders say, but this is black-and-white: he handled this situation arrogantly and poorly, and results his true character.

LOL, he's outdone Steve Francis himself. If Francis loved Houston as much as T-Mac, he would have blocked that first trade that shipped him out of here.

So the real question is how we can get rid of him now, or is he just gunna sit on his ass the rest of the season and get paid while doing so. Can we just trade him for some picks or some compensation?

If that happened you simply tell T-mac he will get what he reported earlier this week and that is you are out for the season.

Surgery or no surgery T-mac doesn't deserve to play with the Rockets with what is going on right now.

Pretty drastic move by Tmac. He probably got fed up w/ the trade rumors, vented to SAS, called it quits, and now he's AWOL from the organization.

BTW, if Tmac expected a pity party out of this, he's got another thing coming.

And realistically he doesn't have a leg to stand on for all this (no pun intended).

Regarding Orlando, he said the GM Weisbrod and the organization did not set him up for success and did not treat him right....

Well, lo and behold, here he is in Houston, one of the most professional organizations around the NBA. On top of that, management has worked pretty hard every season to bring in talent and put parts around him for success.

McGrady has simply taken the Rockets Organization for granted.

I thought that aswell when hearing the audio... My god is Tmac an a-hole, how can a pro player just decide by his self that his season is done?

Its like saying:"Hey Boss, i'm going to talk some time off because I haven't been good right now and really need to relax, I will be back in a couple of months, good luck on finishing that architecture project we've been working on all year!..."

Why is Houston so unlucky to get the only superstar that choose to crumble and deflect blame under pressure?!?!??

    WHY!???

You're wrong. Tmac should have talked it with the team before tell it to a journalist, but the decision is HIS decision, because concerns at HIS body and HIS career.

the worst thing about this situation is that it seems tmac has the rox organization by the balls and just when you think were about to move on and play some ball **** like this happens. the rox organization needs to man up and stop being a bunch of babies and tell tmac how things are going to be done and not how tmac wants it to be. i have lost what little respect i had for this guy. not only is he making himself look like an idiot but he's completely disrespecting his team, owner, gm,etc.

I'm so glad you guys see the light.....T-Mac was always a loser, we'll never get anywhere with this guy... he went to one of the best doctors and he told he was fine, now he needs surgery?....kinda strange....
