thank you...this is all i'm saying, and you said it better than i did. pretending he knew nothing about it before the media reported it is just flat out wrong.

 

Do you guys know for a FACT that Keith talked to Adelman?

And saying he is LEANING is not even CLOSE to announcing he is out, and that he is doing what is good for him and the team.

How many times do I have to say I'm not defending TMac for that??? I'm not saying it's equivalent.

I'm saying it's ridiculous for the organziation/Adelman to act stunned and say, "we learned this all through the media" when their doctor had been called and the guy said he was leaning towards surgery.

i suppose the devil is in the details...i don't know what mcgrady said EXACTLY to keith jones. it's possible he said something rather flippant about it...it's also he said, "man, i think i'm gonna have this surgery" and meant it that way...and keith interpreted it as if it was still undecided.

either way....the lines of communication in this franchise suck if adelman is correct that he knew nothing of this until he heard it in the media.

 

But you are saying he is stunned, he SHOULD BE STUNNED...that Tmac made the announcement.

By my understanding, he didn't talk to Adelman. I'm pretty sure Keith said he that they were waiting to get opinions from all the doctors. It's somewhere in the Chronicle.

 

solomon said adelman DID know and keith relayed that to the TEAM. adelman said tracy didn't discuss that with anybody on the team from the way he described it, when tracy DID. keith jones is the leader on the team's medical staff and who else would tracy relay it to first?

and i'm sure when one of the best specialists in the WORLD recommends surgery to you. tracy must have scratched his heads when these other doctors says his knee is no problem and he can play on it and get better on it just fine.

but you're right, tracy handled this in a very unprofessional way that made him and the team look bad. he should apologize to les at least b/c les has supported him throughout the years and the fans for just creating all these distractions. but he doesn't owe adelman an apology.

adelman made it sound like tracy didn't talk to ANYBODY associated with the team. THAT'S A LIE.

he probably called keith right after meeting with that doctor. and he decided sometime later that night. i'm sure that doctor said something to the likes of: "you can resume your career just fine and dandy." and tracy thinks to himself: "next year is my contract year." there's no point in waiting till may or june to do the offseason. doing it now can most likely allow him to be back by mid-year next yr (not with the rockets)

 

T-Mac's throwing Keith Jones under the bus.

Regardless of what he told Jones there's no reason whatsoever to go talk to Stephen A. Smith. He should have sat down with the Rockets, gone over his options, and they should have then released a joint press release. By going straight to the media he torpedoed the organization.

 

Tmac and Artest despise each other. Adelman is Artest's buddy, therefore Adelman is against Tmac. Adelman tried to make Tmac look bad in the media. I'm with MadMax on this one.

 

What Tmac did was disgraceful, the organization has been more than fair to him for YEARS.

Of course it is NEVER Tmac's fault is it?

He commented on the situation when asked. Is he supposed to ignore the obvious? I'm not sure how he's supposed to tiptoe around any of this, other than saying 'no comment'. He never calls players out, that's not his thing. That's what many fans don't like about him. The fact that it took something like this to say anything remotely negative about a player should say something. Their season has basically been sabotaged; I'm sure he's a lot more pissed than the irritation he showed. He came here to coach, not deal with adolescent crap like this.

i don't think anybody is not agreeing with that. tracy handled this COMPLETELY wrong. he was very unprofessional and immature in how he went about this. and i think this act should end his rocket career. so please, don't make it seem like i'm thinking tracy has no wrong in all of this.

but this thread is about how adelman is clueless in all of this, which is a lie. he's in the wrong too b/c he threw tracy under the bus.

 

Tmac's mouth has been writing checks for years and the organization finally said the bank of excuses is closed.

The team is better if Tmac is Marburyed........I hope he gets the surgery so he gets better.

I am thinking why Tmac is attracting you so much. Actually, you are paying a lot of attention on him, although you are bashing him. Maybe he has a similar personality to a person in your life, or maybe he has something that you don't have but you always want, or ...
