I agree with DD that we should keep Von Wafer. However I have the feeling that drafting Taylor and Budinger was a great move by Morey and its a move that maybe you don't understand.
Before drafting these two guys, we almost didn't have the choice, we needed to sign Wafer back because we didn't have a reliable spark like him off the bench for next season.
Now that we drafted Taylor and Budinger, we are showing Wafer that we don't need him, but he needs us. Therefore, this will help us resign him for cheaper.

Morey will try to get Budinger and Taylor perform amazingly in camp and then will trade them imo, well atleast one of them will be included.

I'm also very happy that Minny drafted two PG's, that means they will want to trade Rubio and I could see us landing him, then moving Brooks.

I just listened to the interview.....

some of you are very silly....that is as nice as I can put it.

The kid just got drafted and was being asking questions about what he does best.....he's a scorer.

What's wrong with that? Now some think that he's cocky and needs that ball....will be a problem....are you kidding?

All i heard was a kid that was excited out of his mind to be drafted, how can anyone read into anything else other than that?

    wow

Carter would have been a big upgrade for us. If we could have we should have.

Jefferson also would have helped but don't see him playing the 2 guard, more of a SF, and he would have been a good compliment to Battier.

Yep, if we passed on those 2 because we have TMac hopes I think we missed it.

I am a big TMac fan and supporter, but face facts- TMac has had 2 significant surgeries, odds are against him ever being the same player and he probably won't be ready until after the first of the year if he can come back. TMac might help us in next year's postseason but he might not.

TMac has become too big a gamble for this team and if he has trade value that could help the team they should use it.

I would be delighted to see TMac come back and really be able to play about 90-95% of his old self but I don't think the odds are high for that.

dude hes got confidence, i think thats a big part of basketball, plus at worst if he trys to be "the" scorer and fails, then we bench him or trade him, no damage really done.. Who cares what the guy said in his interview, maybe he will prove himself, maybe he wont, either way its not gonna effect our team in a bad way.. Just let him have his chance and judge him afterwards, nobody knows whats gonna happen.. Im happy for the guy!

You are one of the best posters on this board, but I have to say, today DD = Debbie Downer.

Hope your day gets better man, seriously. The kid is a Rocket, at least for now, support the team. At least let him play the summer league before you write him off.

I have to agree with DD on this one, wafer is at least proven what he can do, and I love how we forget that he saved us mid season when artest tmac and battier were hurt

C'mon now. Carter fits but Jefferson does not. We need a high volume scorer to complement Battier, Yao, Scola and AB on the floor, which is why Wafer brought out his full potential. Jefferson is best as an efficient but low volume scorer, having him here is redundant because Battier and Artest already fit that role.

We have no assets to acquire Carter from the Nets, Brooks is redundant on that squad because Harris is already better than he is. Landry oth is not enough bait to get a player that good.

    Dude,
you're too funny. I kept waiting for him to say "I'd like to work on my defense and just, you know, help the team out any way i can."

none-the-less, this guy has a chance to replace Wafer's production should we choose not to sign him back.
