He is clearly unhappy. He was even BEFORE Rondo came and went. His prime is being wasted. On social media, he was basically apoplectic (good word) about the Kings drafting approach. I'm not making a suggestion here. I'm telling you. Daryl Morley is calling, or has called, Sacramento about Cousins' availability. I'm genuinely surprised to have not seen his name in trade talks around the league. The best deals are often the ones that come out of nowhere. It's been a while since we saw a Morley steal. He is due. As to what gets it done, I'm sure others will have thoughts on that. I know we have good, tradeable contracts from last offseason in Bev and Brewer. (despite what we know/think of Brewer, I'm fairly sure around the NBA he is still seen as a guy who can contribute). We need a Centre. He can be had. We are definitely setting ourselves up for something big. I think this is it.
Thread title made me chuckle  He is on every teams watch list for sure. Every GM looking is hoping for a typically dysfunctional Kings season so they can start hounding Vlade & Co. BUT I think the Joerger hiring was solid and could work (It will certainly be an improvement over last season). The chance may have passed us by. Surely we don't have a package large enough to attract Cousins? Vivek wants to win now and would want proven players back.
I think Cousins has a ton of talent, but I'm not sure how good of a fit he is in this system. I think of him more of a low post, half-court center than the run and gun, pick and roll center. Also, the lack of defense and the maturity concerns don't exactly make him the most appealing superstar in the league. I think he and Harden have the potential to be a terrible pairing chemistry-wise.
Cracked me up! Thx. I was waiting for someone to say how Cousins 3pt shooting would fit into Moreys system.
cousins, doufos, mac for capela, dmo, ariza, brewer, both picks, 2 future 1sts and 2nds, and cash or tpe
