These look like casual wear.

 

I guess I just prefer the simple/clean look rather than a lot of stripes. They just remind of a newer version of the old school unis that were a solid color other than a stripe at the borders.

 

I don't think anyone is saying that...

Just fun to take a look at some fan designs on a message board.... We've had the same unis since like 2003 (not including the alternates) so it'd be nice for a change... It's been 10 years and the Yao/TMac era and subsequent rebuilding era is over, might be time to freshen things up.

Perfect Storm brewing for new uniforms! Makes business sense for all parties involved.

If there ever was a chance of us finally getting new uni's and put a end to New Uniform threads it is the signing of Howard and his connection to Adidas. With Adidas being the brand behind the NBA and Howard being one of Adidas top stars we might get a bump towards new uni's. Adidas will surely reach out to the Rockets to create new uni's for the Rockets/Howard that can be marketed to create something new for the Rockets, and create a new money making machine for Adidas. It is a conflict of interest, but businesses want to make money, and with great market research Adidas will be able to show the Rockets what look and colors would play best on the worlds stage benefiting both organizations. Maybe a throwback Red/Yellow look with maybe a alternate uni with sleeves. Appeasing most Rockets fans, and helping Adidas push there new uni look with sleeves with one of there top guys pushing the look in ads. Adidas has to be making way less on Howard merch ever since he started to demand trades, and the Rockets might finally see the potential huge money to be made moving away from the Yao/Chinese themed uni's and moving towards a look that will encompass the Howard/Harden Era.

The more threads on this, the more likely we get new jerseys, or better yet old jerseys from 95 days...

 

This is not a we need to uniforms because our uniforms suck thread like most of the others. This is a thread with legitimate reasons why it might actually happen with the Howard signing. Just how it makes total business sense for all parties involved.

 

The Rockets current uniforms are great. I don't see any reason to change.

Once we win a championship in these uniforms, yours and many other people's opinions might change.

 

I saw Dwight in a uni on Sportsnation just now that I hadnt seen before, smooth looking.

 

Nope, we already have jerseys we won a championship with, and they are the coolest uniforms in the NBA.

 

Uniform changes have to be submitted to the league at some point the prior season. We are for sure sticking with the candy cane Unis for at least 1 more year.

 

Everyone should have the ability to search forum threads, dont know how you could exploit the privileged

 

Forget about trading for Harden and signing Dwight, they were just ploys to fulfill Morey's ultimate goal of getting new uniforms.

 

I always ask, could someone who knows photoshop take the classic Rockets' jersey and darken the red and gold colors. I'd love to see what that looks like.
