Hold up, so if a topless dancer quits her job, she still won't be allowed to tryout? Or only active topless dancers cannot tryout?
What was wrong with our dancers last year, FAOS? I've heard that the Power Dancers have consitantly been one of the best dance teams in the league, sometimes even #1. Also, wouldn't you want to see some of these ladies in a little less clothing as it were? I hope they keep this style of uniform next year.
There is nothing "wrong" with them. They aren't unattractive by any means. To be honest, I could care less if they are great "dancers", meaning I don't care about their routines. I just want them out on the floor shakin' what their momma gave them. I guess I set the bar too high. Then there are the Oakland Raiderettes...pretty much on a whole level on their own. It wouldn't be fair to compair other squads to theirs. I'd be willing to bet topless entertainers ARE encouraged to apply there.
jeez, you mean to tell us that not only was she a rockets power dancer and a stripper, but was able to teach high school too! i really adrmire someone who can hold down 3 jobs like that.
yes, they do extensive background checks on the girls. they like them to have squeaky clean images. my sister is a texans cheerleader and said that she had to go thru an f.b.i. background check. they would not hire current or former strippers.
2 Of the original Power Dancers were cut in the first round they all had to try out this year. Second the judges ( a few asians go figure) were biased to asian dancers which by some strange reason made it to the third round. Third these tryouts were all political and flat out stupid. Expect alot of girls who paid for the Rockets Power dancer pre week Camp to b**** come monday morning. The head one charged $220 for a week which was supposed to get all of them prepared on what not to do and do. Well everyone was told at this camp that 2nd round would be on sunday and to bring your picture and your dancer resume etc. Well the head one decides to change it WITHOUT contacting any who paid for the Pre camp so these poor girls did not have their picture or their resume. To me and a few other people who knew girls that paid for this Pre camp to tryouts got conned and scammed. I did learn one thing though, One of the "mascots" for the Rockets is a flamer he was present without his "costume" at the Pre Rockets Power Dancer camp just flaming away! A complete joke.

Daisy is the best Rockets power dancer. Sitting from afar you can't really tell who's the hottest but you can tell who can dance. I watched that Daisy girl and I was like:
