If reporting today is lets just speculate on a bunch of random events with zero corroboration, then yes good work buddy.

Sadly blogs like this are labeled as some form of journalism.

Also your blog post answered itself. In order to run a no fly zone you might have to attack anti-air targets on the ground. That's nothing new but instead the post you cite decides to label it as "attacking Libya" as if this is some invasion.

Lastly are you capable of posting a coherent thought of your own without posing some crappy Socratic method style question or a posting a sentence without a hyperlink?

Sovereign ruler who hasn't attacked or threatened the U.S., and we're ****ing broke, so rationally I wouldn't expect anything. But a liberal President did just lose Congress. I guess this is why the CIA exists.

nor would I, but i fear that to force his exit now will entail a far larger use of force than would have been required a few weeks ago.

Let's hope that Obama ignores the warmongers and doesn't drag us into another endless occupation.

Yeah, seems like he was given a lot of time to re-group. It's kind of like a boxing bout where someone is already close to being knocked out, but then you leave him alone without getting the finishing punch in for several rounds, and by the end of the fight, he is fully recovered and as dangerous as in the first round.

Who are these rebels? We helped some freedom fighters before...and they turned on us...perpetrating 9/11. I guess we are looking for some repeats.

Let somebody else enforce this bs. Britain and France wanted it worse. Let them enforce it. Better yet, the Arab League of Zero Credibility.

We're opening up a new front. It's ridiculous. And, we get to pay for it. Meanwhile, education system is crumbling here at home. They won't raise taxes on the rich. We're oil dependent and behind in green energy development. We spend more fighting for others than we do on our own citizens. How much better of a nation would we be without these wars? My opinion is MUCH...assuming we didn't find something else to waste it on.

i suggested Aviano previously, but Sicily is closer.

Italy to make bases available for Libya no-fly zone-source
    7:11pm EDT

TUNIS, March 17 (Reuters) - Italy is ready to make its military bases available to enforce a U.N. Security Counci resolution imposing a no-fly zone on Libya, an Italian government source told Reuters on Thursday.

The airbase at Sigonella in Sicily, which provides logistical support for the United States Sixth Fleet, is one of the closest NATO bases to Libya and could be used in any military operation.

"It's a positive development," an Italian goverrnment source told Reuters minutes after the U.N. Security Council voted in favour of the no-fly zone.
Asked whether Italy would offer its bases for the enforcement of the U.N. resolution, the source said: "Yes, we've said we are ready to do that."

About time the UN does something that the U.S does not have to be the leading country on.

The UN has been garbage up to this point. They'll find a way to muck this up as well.

yeah, like how they mucked up Korea, Liberia, Bosnia, Sierra Leone...

    lolololol

Even when the UN failed the hardest (UNAMIR in Rwanda), they were still the only force that kept genocidal forces from slaughtering every civilian in sight.

The UN just authorized countries to make a no fly zone. They arent sending UN funded troops anywhere and most certainly isnt a peacekeeping mission. This was just a rubber stamp for the no fly zone.

So tell me, how are they going to screw this up?

Well its not 'just' a no fly zone as being reported. They also authorized the use of "all necessary measures" to protect civilians. What that means, who knows, supposedly
