Even though I'm a believer, it should also be noted that people sometimes fulfill the destiny because they believed Nostradamus was writing about them. Could have been the case with Hitler, but the mere fact the guy was named some 1,000 or so years before his exisitence is nuts. He also spoke to the fact that Napoleonj would be banished to an island. Just some freaked out stuff.
There was an instance of one of his predictions I still find it incredible and leaves me wondering if this guy maybe knew what he was talking about. I can't remember which quatrain it was or the individuals involved, but he specifically named 2 names in that prediction. I think they were Spanish or French leaders. Now if he had said "A guy named Johnson will be a bad guy", I'd say big whoop, but he specifically named BOTH people involved and I don't think they were common names (I'm vague on that last part).
Only a true idiot would make an asinine remark like that. Congratulations. ----- The thing with Nostradamus is that he predicted absolutely everything that could possibly happen. Of course some of it is bound to come true. I agree with the others who say he is overrated.
okay maybe i'm the dyslexic one why didn't that fool just say twenty seven then? must have been trying to say constistent in his "poetry"
This is just too vague of a prediction. A city on fire? Only a few buildings were destroy, not the whole city. And City of God? Ha! What a joke! The City of God is Jeruslem, and thats been on fire, so to speak. Bin Laden could have easily made this prediction come true. Perhaps that was an alterior motive.
I believe he predicted the exact latitude and longitude as well. I also wanted to add that his predictions were also unclear because he had no knowledge of the technology that exists today. Such as airplanes and nuclear weapons. Imagine trying to describe something you've never seen before. The U.S. wasn't even a country, which makes it even more amazing that he would call it "america" and name it.
Sylvia Browne is pretty good at this to. She predicts a bright future, and her predictions of come true. She predicted the stock market crash among others. Her sight is www.sylvia.org
I read her 2000 predictions, and I don't know, she seemed to miss on alot. I liked her future predictions though. A cure for cancer would be great. I believe cloning body parts would be a great idea also. I can smoke and drink all I want.
I think the 2000 predictions were her sons, not hers. He isn't nearly as good as her. Most of her best, and most credible predictions came on the Montel Williams Show, and Art Bell. She is REALLY good. I wish she would keep a log of the predictions that came true, but she is really modest and doesn't make a big deal about it. LOL!
You guys are genuine suckers........ THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A PERSON THAT CAN SEE INTO THE FUTURE!!!! ..... Unless of course you consider paying someone $700 to bullsh*t with you as being able to see the future........... NOTE: You have just been waiting for that slip up dod, haven't you?........
How can you be so sure? Do you believe that electrons and photons are both particles and waves, at the same time (uh, kinda depending on how you look at them)? http://www.pbs.org/transistor/science/info/quantum.html Do you believe in teleportation or instantaneous communication (i.e. faster than the speed of light) ? http://www.almaden.ibm.com/st/projects/quantum/intro/ http://physicsweb.org/article/world/11/3/9 There are 4 dimensions that we can perceive (although when complete, the Theory of Everything may indicate there are 10 or so dimensions). One of these happens to be time. Space/Time can be warped by gravity. TIME. Doesn't seem like such a constant, does it?
You sound so sure of yourself, yet so defensive, especially when you give an exact dollar amount. Has someone been calling Miss Cleo and not getting the answers you wanted?
It's all about The Einstein, Podolsky, Rosen Paradox, Bell's Theorem, and Quantum Teleportation, baby! Not to mention the PEAR Lab at Princeton which has documented a corolation between conciouness thought and mechanical failure, an effect for which nobody has been able to provide an explanation.
Just FYI, the Nostradamus post at the start of this thread is flat-out bull****. (from link) Those looking for the certainty of a Nostradamus prophecy come true have been known to sledge hammer the results to force a fit by inventing fanciful translations from the original French, bend over backwards to assert one named term is really another, and (as in this case) outright fabricate part or all of the prediction. Nostradamus did not write the quatrain now being attributed to him. (One wonders how a guy who died in 1566 could have written an item identified as being penned in 1654 anyway.) It originated with a student at Brock University in Canada in the 1990s . . . offered by the page's author, Neil Marshall, as a fabricated example to illustrate how easily an important-sounding prophecy can be crafted through the use of abstract imagery. Yeah. It's got me thinking you should be banned, you stupid dumb****.
In a way, isn't the hubble telescope looking through time? I think it's entirely possible. If you can dream it you can make it happen.
