I watched an interview with him discussing the new stadium. He emphasized that he wanted to create a better fan experience than watching the game on TV. Yeah, food and beverage prices are good place to start.
I was pretty surprised at how quickly the Falcons and Braves are moving out of their stadiums. Both were built for the Olympics and have held their own very well over the past 20 years, especially Turner Field, which to me is one of the best ballparks in the country.
Seriously, leave it to Clutchfans to be the place where the responses to significantly lower prices are mainly cynical or negative. If any Houston teams adopted this, that'd be huge.
The Georgia Dome wasn't built for the Olympics, and is the worst football stadium I've ever been to (of course, most are newer). Wrigley Field is the only baseball stadium I'd rate behind Turner of the ones I've been to (mostly because nothing makes it special), but it should have been fine for at least another 10 years. I'm pretty excited about the free-refills on soft drinks, especially since I'm considering buying season tickets for Atlanta United FC's inaugural season.
Always eat before or after a game if I can. Food quality is meh, price is rape. The pricing here is decent, but still think food quality is meh.
I'm curious to see the size of what you get. The beers are smaller (Astros did the same thing when the introduced $5 beer), I can only assume everything else will be as well.
You can't really mess up a hot dog, fries and a beer. You foodies are at the wrong place . I'd love this pricing. For some reason the parking and concession prices bother me more than the ticket price.
How long will these prices last, though? Even if they hold during the season, you can bet they start escalating fast in subsequent seasons. They'll catch up to everyone else.
LOL. Okay... My first post was about how Blank and Co. are "giving back" after they just gone done raping the Atlanta tax payers. Rape is no laughing matter. Many women, men and jenners are effected every day and go on to have mental issues and breakdowns for the rest of their lives. You should be more respectful about these victims.
I'm not a fan of this proposal. This is just a tax on fat people. Now they will buy more and more food at lower and lower prices. People in Atlanta are already portly.
Um....this isn't that different compared to NRG, Arthur! http://www.houstontexans.com/gameday/stadium-info/concession-and-merchandise.html Am I missing something?
