http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/25/atandt-bringing-lte-to-five-cities-this-summer/ Finally some good news.... Hopefully AT&T actually comes through and doesn't delay it. I'd love to buy an LTE phone this fall.... especially with the quad-core Tegra 3 phones coming out soon. It's also nice to see that Houston, SA, and Dallas are on the list of five cities.
^ no link, no believe. And, it's 4GLTE, not just LTE, please. EDIT: who gives a ********** about SA or D****** Fallas?
LTE is so yesterday. Welcome to 2010. What are you going to do with a quad core phone? Nevermind the battery life, what about it constantly overheating.
Haha. Don't hate on me and my ducks! If UT Austin would have contacted me sooner I would have been one of those losers in Austin... Honestly, I've loved my service with AT&T here in Arizona. I can only hope it's as good up in Oregon...
Well, what "LTE" are you referring to, in the first place? Compact? Advanced? 3GPP? Which one? Please choose.
REGARDLESS, WE GETTING AT&T LTE IN HOUSTON WOOT. Gonna cop my next phone as soon as it launches! I've been eligible for an upgrade for over a year now but been patiently waiting for LTE and here it is!
So we don't even get that great speed on our wired connections how do they expect us to get that on wireless connections? Plus if they have datacaps wont we just hit caps faster?
verizon had to call it 4G LTE because tmobile started calling their faster 3G...well..4G. so 4G LTE = real 4G.. not confusing at all.
Sure we do. Verizon customers with LTE get great speed on LTE. Not everyone has data caps and that's not exactly how data caps work. Data caps are more based on how much you use, if you start using your phone more, then yes you will hit them faster. But increasing the speed shouldn't affect your bandwidth unless you use it more.
I get a consistent 20mbps here at home with Verizon LTE. AT&T LTE won't be as good indoors as Verizon. 700mhz vs 800mhz plus at&t operates voice in 850 and 1900(pcs) markets. GSM is such a ****ty technology in every way possible, it's just popular because Europe made it a standard. plus if you can get in on verizon's LTE now its unlimited, i doubt at&t will have that.
