Wow. Nice work...I think. I'd have joined right in if I had gone. :( I'd also have a Boki Bobblehead. I'd also have probably hung myself from the Balcony where Clutch spent all of the end of last season.

God, Rockets03, you are hilarious. I'll never forget the last game before the Yao Ming draft when the Rockets sucked so bad and you, me, rockHEAD and a bunch of other guys were chanting "Yao Ming! Yao Ming! Yao Ming!" during the final few minutes of the game. Awesome!

Van gundy's been asking for it. And, I don't mean by sucking, I mean literally. When he and some players went to the Texans game and were applauded, he said Houstonians were so nice to applaud when they are 6-9. He's so proud of getting booed by New Yorkers. For having lived through the tribulation (as if you could it that). He's been paying lip-service to the losses being his own fault and how he must do better. I think he does that to deflect criticism, to say there's no need for you to criticize me because I already see it and I already criticize myself. But, if he's going to tell us we should be booing, and he's going to tell us that this is all his fault, well then we should be chanting Fire Gundy.

Damn am I the only one that feels sorry for the dude?

Im not ready to give up quite yet on JVG. If he can tinker a little here and there (namely a real PF and a true PG) then I think we have a chance to turn this season around - ala the Houston Astros.

Its only been 16 games so maybe its just an adjustment thing. Apparently Im the minority though....

Me too! To me he's a classic under dog, at least when he's not an ass.

That is too much R03. Hillarious. I usually am one to defend JVG, but what he has done with this team so far this season makes it truly hard to defend him. If he gets fired the rockets managment better have a real coach ready to replace him. having the assitant (my god i hope it wont be ewing) replace him as an interim isnt going to help the team either.

    in part i do Drew

part of me says this is JVG's fault

part of me says JVG needs to come and be positive with his players no matter what to try to get their confidence back

but another part of me says the blamce mostly lies with the players, JVG cannot knock the open jumpers down, JVG cannot box out and rebound for the them, JVG cannot play with burning desire, intensity, energy and hustle

Stop making sense, Smeg. There's no room for that here. Get back in line with the rest of the sheep and blame Van Gundy for everything from MoT's lack of ability to rebound to I-10 traffic to the Middle East crisis.

    That was entirely appropriate, considering.

Why should fans have to endure a mediocre effort like that?

I think Rockets03 is on to something. If the Rockets feel the wrath of some fan angst at every underachieving game, so much the better.

    Everyone should start doing it.

Just to let everyone know. I dont hate Van Grumpy personally. I think he totally needs to change his style though. Basketball is suppose to be fun, or at the least not depressing. Playing for a grumpy b*stard like Van Grumpy makes basketball very depressing. Win or lose, the guy is going to chew his team out and soon enough players will tune him out.

I would never boo my team. But yesterday the Rockets just rolled over and got screwed in the butt (to put it nicely). I was in downtown working from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm and Rockets tix aren't exactly cheap. So if I am paying good money I at the least expect some mother freakin EFFORT!!!!.

I believe it's about 80% Van Grumpy's fault, but Yao and Tmac need to grow some freakin nutts and take over this team. Maurice not even getting one freakin reb is beyond comprehension. I can run onto the floor during a game and catch one freakin reb.
