Refman called me and offered me a ticket with him at face value. He had season tickets. Very kind of him!!! Needless to say, I'm kinda excited about it!
They sent out the second chance emails last night. A guy I work with got one and tickets go on sale today at 10:00AM on a first come first serve basis. Sorry if this was posted above, too lazy and depressed to look... lol.
A buddy of mine has great season tickets. He sold his game 3 WS pair for 3k already. He is going to buy some cheaper seat tickets with some of the profit from each game, and use the rest to get some new wood flooring. He's been a season tikcet holder forever, and says he almost never pays for a single game, due to the profit he makes selling the good games/playoffs.
A guy I work with just got 4 tickets to game 3 from second chance. 2 in the outfield and two in the Crawford boxes.
Love the Astros, but a middle finger goes out from me to the Astros ticket office. Congrats to those of you who got it, but it's incredibly disheartening to watch this. I've been to dozens of regular season game, 4 out of 5 playoff games... why can't I just get a chance to get tickets? It's not even that I have to have tickets. Just give me the chance. It wasn't too much for the White Sox to do a non-lottery system. Why can't we do at least some non-lottery? Maybe save the SRO. Or maybe do the initial purchasing via the lottery and the "second chance" ticket opportunity open to the public. Maybe save a few for the box office for the most dedicated fans - hell, I'd wait there for days. It's not so much that I expected to be able to go to a game. After all, it's the World Series. But it's just incredibly frustrating to watch dozens of people I know (who aren't even that great of fans) get to go to the World Series and many of the most dedicated fans don't even get a chance. If they're sold out, they're sold out, and I can live with it... if I just get one freakin' chance. That's all I'm asking.
THAT ... is quite disheartening, especially after hearing how so many people wants to buy 2 to go and 2 more just to sell....
How did he pull Crawford box tickets for the 2nd chance offer. I thought those were only season ticket holders?
They are in the corner crawford boxes, the big section (103 I think). I was standing behind him when he got them so I know he's not lying.
Hey guys I got tickets to games 4 & 5 (2 tickets to each game) Section 253 for game 4 and Section 152 for game 5. I'm an Astros fan but a bigger Rockets fan and I can live with going to at least one game of the World Series. (Depending on the outcome of games 1 & 2) I'll be selling 2 tickets of either game, giving a bigger Astros FAN a chance to attend a game. I will not be asking for a high price for the tickets but as long as it covers the money I spent for all 4 tickets. More or less around $300 for each ticket. (Trading will be taking into consideration) I figured it was a cheaper price to pay for than if buying from ebay or scalpers. Anybody interested shoot me an email sometime after games 1 & 2.
