We really can't blame anyone because we don't have enough info. The play can be made several different ways. Ensberg and Miller have to be moving to the ball and Bagwell is going to be moving when he sees bunt. so that leaves 2 players(Kent, Viz) to cover the bags. Kent undoubtably is going to cover 1st but Viz has to decied whether to cover 2nd or 3rd. In my coaching experience we always teach to cover the lead runner because the backup runner is not going anywhere that the lead runner doesn't go first. But some teams cover it differently. The only fault that I can lay is that Miller threw without looking and probably had a chance to go home or to first and get an out.
Jeriome Robertson is pitching tonite...Most likely a loss...Can someone please tell me why Monroe is not starting? He was a pretty good starter for us last year. Robertson needs some more time at Triple-A
Man, the astros are really bad against the reds pitcher, graves (i think is his name. He usually is a reliever, not starter. Ausmus is 0-10, Hildoggy is 0-8, Biggio is 4-19. Robertson....hmmm....where have I heard that name?..... ahhh....is he the guy who gave up the 7 runs to the rockies in the 4th or 5th inning??!!! We lost that game because of that..
Here we go again!!! 4th Inning, He is going to give them all the runs they need to win this inning.!!!!!
Man, they should have left Dotel in!! To finish the game. He had 3 strikeouts in the 8th, and now Wagner is not looking good out there, 9th inning. Come on Wag!
YEEAH!!!! Wagner with the strikeout!!! Astros win!!!! WHOOOOHOOOo...Great team!!! Thank god for the Astros, a team that knows how to win...hope the other Houston teams will learn.
thats what Ive been telling myself all day. If it wasnt for baseball, I would be one depressed sports fan right now. Thank you Astros!!! This is awesome.
You guessed right. Bidge has a little catching up to do if he wants to get the MLB record. Henderson has 80 career leadoff yacks.
Great game by Jeriome. If this is the real Robertson, and that was the real Redding, Roy is Roy, Wade is Wade, plus throw in Bagwell-Berkman-Kent in the heart of the lineup, lights out with Dotel/Wagner, and we may be in for a VERY fun season.
Not to mention that Hidalgo looks pretty solid so far this season, Lidge looks like the real deal out of the bullpen, Biggio is hitting much better and not having too much difficulty in CF, Ausmus has been Ausmus behind the plate but just as good at the plate (I don't expect that to continue, though)...things are looking up right now. About the only huge disappointment has been Berkman's terrible struggles to begin the season. That dude needs to bust out in a serious way. Perhaps Mark Grace could refer him to a couple good "slump busters"...although his wife might take issue with that solution.
