This is pathetic. Oswalt's stuff is good, but you can't rely on two pitches for the entire game. Nefi Perez shouldn't get three hits off of Roy Oswalt.

Roy got rocked in last year's playoffs... but this game has had more bloops than hard hits.

If anything, his fastball (which he was K'ing everybody on the first 3 innings) has slowed enough for them to make contact.

No doubt, what happened to his slider & curve...he gets ahead 0-2 or 1-2 and keeps on pumping fastballs.

Hitters just have to get wood on it, and Roy supplies all the power....

Just pathetic if the team chokes this game.......pathetic.

Roy has been grooving it over the plate and most hitters can get to that.

When has Roy ever not been around the plate???

Obviously, he and Brad noticed how batters were sitting on his curve/fastball combo. The curve has always served as his "changeup"... and not a true diving/out of the zone curveball.

Thus, for whatever reason, they decided to try a new approach... and for a lot of the season (minus the dead-arm period), Roy was great. You couldn't have predicted this many bloops in the span of 2 innings.

Bags, take Maddux to right field! Opposite field. It's your only chance.
