Should we get to them again, the Cardinals have to be looking over their shoulders after taking two there. They may have Carpenter back but we got Pettite this time...
    Different year.

I'm torn here. I bought tickets to go to Saturday's game, but at the same time, I dont' like the idea of it taking till Saturday to get that magic number to 0, it's just a little too close. Anyways, I'll be happy just to see the AStros win a game, so clinch early!

W W W and W just to spite the Cubs

Apparently the Philies don't like the Astros as a team.

Jimmy Rollins was just being interviews on Stephen Ass Smith's show on ESPN and he said hopefully the Cubs will take care of business. "Chicago doesn't like the Astros as much as we don't like them. "

Well when you we've been swept in the season series the past 2 years by the same team that tends to generate some feelings of anger and resentment :p

True...I guess. :D I should of thought about that. We do own them. But our players are professional...we don't have any loud mouths on this team.

The Chronicle has a new article erroneously titled "Rodriguez leads Astros against Cardinals". Obviously, they mean Cubs. Oops...small oversight.

    Berkman ON FIRE in September!

One away from the club record for HR's in September (owned by... ahem... doggy).

WOW! nice! 2 men on no outs! nice bunt by taveras.

I like this lineup much better than what we had through out the year. Biggio as the leadoff man is MUCH better than Taveras as the lead off. Keep Willy in the 2nd spot!

That horrible strike 2 call changed that entire AB... I hate it when bad calls by the umpire does that.

that was an absolutely horrible call on ensberg. that ball wasn't even borderline, it was well below the knees. and then berkman gets a ball way inside called a strike.

not that we would score with bases loaded and no outs, but it would've been better than 3rd base and 2 outs.

Well I hope that bum of an ump is happy. He single handedly destroyed a big inning for the stros.

So far: A HR by Lance, a good hit and run by Adam and Chris, a botched squeeze, and a sure-fire bases loaded no out situation turned into a double play by one bad ump call.

At least we're creating traffic...

Murton hits an opposite field HR... right to the only 2 Cubs fans in that area.

That can't be a good sign.

Did anybody else notice that the roof is open tonight??? This is the first time in a LONG time that has happened.

Hopefully it doesn't change any karma... I know that they kept the roof shut for ALL of last September and October for the playoffs. Frankly, I would be interested to see the clubs overall record for when the roof is opened/closed for the last 4 years (excluding 2000... where nothing was good).
