other teams playing their guys well up the middle again to get us out. hell, the 2nd basemen caught it on the other side of the bag. against us, that goes through b/c our 2nd basemen is playing first ans SS is playing 3rd.
I guess it's only just that the Cubs own us this year after all the fun we had at their expense last year.
i swear, if we don't take 2 of 4 from the cubs with oswalt, pettitte, and clemens pitching. this sucks.
This was a game that we should have won. Everett choked, Lidge choked, and the team hitting choked. At least we are still one up....with 2 to play.... Got to win tomorrow...they are throwing that scrub Jerome Williams, but he looked like Cy Young against our bats last week. DD
I still ahve no idea why people thought we would walk all over the Cubs. They are great competition for us. They all ways show up....and damn. This one hurt. I was more worried about this series than the Cardinals one.
I think I heard the other day that when all 3 pitch, the Stros rarely win the series.....how strange is that? DD
As disappointing as this game was, it sums up the 2005 Astros....good pitching but terrible offensive club. I take solace in knowing this team battled back from 15-30 and made things interesting. And at least the Cubs won't be going to the playoffs!
NOT THE NUMBERS!!! THE NUMBERS ARE CURSED!!! Great. Now the Astros will win the Series, but a giant meteor will hit Houston and wipe out everything but cockroaches and Mattress Mac.
I dunno, tonight kinda seemed the opposite. Granted we didn't put a lot of runs on the board but... we got the clutch hit but blew the save..that's kinda anti-Astro. Aww crap oh well, two more games...they got freakin do it the hard way
