O.K. I was mentally going through the list in my head and came up with one more candidate...it has to be... Ken Boswell..... I can't think of anyone else that was on the Mets in 1969 that followed on with Houston (not counting Ryan). Of course, Clendenon SHOULD have been on the 1969 Astros before Bowie Kuhn stepped in.
I knew my Astros Media Guides would come in handy one day One remains unanswered: What team hit 6 HR's against the Astros?
Here's a trivia question for you... I had tickets in my hand for Ryan's no hitter. Unfortunately I had to attend my brother-in-law's wedding. So the question is: How many times has my brother-in-law been married? Follow-up: How many of his weddings have I attended? Another follow-up: How many of his wives have been 21 when he married them?
LOL Is this a trick question? Did he, or her, get cold feet and call the wedding off? Now that would have really ticked me off
This turned out to be wedding 1 of 4. If I'd have known that, I certainly would have blown it off for the ballgame. I attended his first two. After that, I decided 'no mas'. My wife has attended all 4, but she has chosen not to attend any subsequent ones (by the way, marriage 4 is still alive). Each of his wives was 21 when he married them (I guess that says something for him - what, I don't know). His current wife was actually caught smoking when she was in junior high with MY daughter!
