The astros this past season had the same talent as 2005 when they went to the world series. The only difference was clemens and pettite leaving and being replaced with jennings and williams. The astros have talent. They need pitchers. I want to see players who show more emotion. What's wrong with that?

    ???

Berkman had a down year. Clemens and Pettitte were significant pieces of that WS run.

On top of all that, the WS run was more fluky luck than talent.

i agree that pitching is the biggest concern. they had the worst team ERA in club history. they had one reliable starter and one of the worst bullpens in baseball. that's problem one in my book. of course, no one ever reads my book, so it hardly matters.

Berkman had a down year in 2005. He had just come back from surgery. He finished with better numbers last year.

I just said Clemens and Pettite were the difference.

    Huh?

If by "fluky luck", you mean "nightmarish buzzsaw of a pitching staff", then you are right.

Clemens, Pettite, Lidge, Wheeler, Biggio, Ensberg and Ausmus were the difference.

Nah...not boring at all. His book is a pop up book from Bill Clienton's private collection.
