Yes, I'm an internet GM. But is it ok to praise Morey for the moves he makes?

And I am actually excited to see these young guys and more likely to go to games now. I went to a game last week and I much prefer watching Castro and Johnson over Q and Pedro Feliz.

From one web GM (sounds like web gem... he he) to another, GMs are certainly allowed to give credit to other GMs, including real GMs (sounds like the website... he he).

I just got home from a lot of drinking and can't believe I made that post with so little spelling errors. How did I not get rep for that!

    I would rep me. :p

I keed. I'm pretty stoked though about the rebuilding. I'm just worried about a Yankees vs. Phills WS. Who would I root for? I want them to both get rings! Such great guys, great community give backers persons, just all around righteous dudes.

The guy negotiated a no trade clause as part of his compensation package. It has always seemed odd to me how people rag on a guy for enjoying the contract clauses they negotiated for.

We all have the right to live and work where we want to. Carlos was able to make it stick. Good for him.

I wish he would reconsider, but I am not about to assume what is in the heart and mind of a guy I have never met.

Wrong. Seattle sent the Rangers $2.5M in the deal. That figure comes directly from Dave Niehaus and the Seattle GM.

I am a Mariners fan as well, so I keep up with them pretty well with MLB Extra Innings.

The reason why Lee was so much more valuable than Oswalt has a lot to do with Lee's 14.4 K/BB ratio. The second highest in MLB was around 8. Lee is just sick kind of good.

The Astros are doing the right thing. They should have done this last year, however. Would have saved a year in rebuilding.

They should have done it two years ago, but grocer didn't get his reputation by accident.

Thanks appreciate that, I couldn't sleep so I figured I'd check twitter to see whats up with Myers and Pence.

Twins need starting pitching BAD, the White Sox might just keep Jackson and that makes them the clear cut favorites in the AL Central. The rumor was Myers for Baker, Blackburn or Slowy and I assume another prospect which would be okay IMHO. Slowy is having the best season of the three but it's not saying much, all three have struggled, but I remember reading a few years back that Baker had the most potential. Maybe its a pipe dream but Myers for Baker and Danny Valencia sounds good to me.

Going back to sleep but I leave you with this, for those who are KILLING Wade for not getting more in the Oswalt deal read this...

jcrasnick I've talked to 3 scouts in D.C. who've seen Roy Oswalt multiple times. Not one thinks he's looked ace-like this season

jcrasnick "I'm not sure he's the answer,'' one scout said. "I would have kept the left-hander (J.A. Happ) myself.''

jcrasnick "He gets in trouble when he pitches up in the zone and guys lay off that little curveball,'' the scout said of Oswalt

Now, not saying it was the best deal in the world but it has or will become obvious that we might have over-valued Roy just a bit much.

can anyone offer insight on Melancon and Paredes? Sounds like Melancon is in the closer mold and majors ready. Paredes was outside of the top 30 Yankee prospects...so don't know what to make of that for a 21 y/o.

Haven't seen any smoke on moving Lindstrom, so not sure where Melancon fits in this equation

I think on page 17 or so there is some info on them. I don't think Paredes is supposed to be much, but neither was Ben Zobrist.. so who knows.
