Your position towards Wade is very clear considering you apparently already have declared the Oswalt trade as a failure. Let's give it some time to see how well Happ and Wallace do before declaring that one as a fail. And let's not forget he did receive a gold glove center fielder and stolen base leader for Lidge.
Does anyone know who the Astros top prospect is? Not including any of the new players we are getting in these trades.
Well at least it fits part of the Ed Wade acquisition formula, it may not be a Phillie or a speedy/slappy OF, but at least it's a middle reliever. Now if we could just get someone to give Randy Smith a GM job again we could double our trading partner/most favored nation status. I dunno, I like the outing from Happ, and maybe the ex Blue Jay kid can be Wally Joiner Jr or something.
Big difference between the two teams as far as the point I was making. I have no problem with the Rangers becoming a better team or why they were able to do so.
If Lyles is not on the team in a couple years I'd be willing to bet it will be Ovando. Hell, he's already top 10 in my opinion. He's gotta be one of the most exciting prospects we've signed in a long time.
Well I wasnt really relating to your point. Just happened to quote you on the Lilly to Yankees part. Just was thinking out loud. Do you have link to that on Lilly? Havent found or seen anything on it.
I misread what I saw on TCB. The Yankes are still in on Lilly. I apologize. I don't know how I misread that.
The video of that kid swinging a bat made me drool /no joto. For everyone who bags on McLane, that move alone should make you stfu. Ovando is very, very, very exciting. I know he's a long way from the majors, but he profiles as a future superstar.
Guys from other countries tend to take a bit longer developing, not saying Ovando will but you never know
jimcallisBA Melancon = possible set-up man. Paredes = impressive bat speed. Not bad. @msu_tiger: What can you tell us about Melancon and Paredes.
