I don't disagree that those two did it but the people who are complaining now about not spending money on players will be the same people that would be complaining when the club would be forced to Marlinize the franchise because they could not afford the salaries they acquired for a championship run.

"You know Joe, We need to get rid of Owner X. why can't he go back to the way things were 2 years ago when we won the championship. What? He's losing money. Well who cares he he should trade PLayer Y and his huge contract for Stud Z and Stud Q. And he should spend the club into Bankruptcy so we can celebrate again."

You're probably right, people are just frustrated that we've had a good team for a long time but not gotten anywhere in the playoffs.

Octavio Dotel was probably the best relief pitcher in the game, definetly the best in the NL last year. Good deal.

    Ward is well . . . Ward.

The last Killer B is in place now too.. Geoff Blum just signed a contract to avoid arbitration as well. Another one-year deal as reported on the astros site: astros.com

well you know what, we are just going to have to win the championship this year if we cant get Miller, Oswalt and Dotel back next year. Maybe a ring would shut the worriers up....

Neither Miller, Oswalt nor Dotel is eligible for free agency after this coming season. They will be back unless they are traded.
