See, that's the half-logic I am afraid of. Taveras is producing in the 8th hole, with the pitcher behind him and Everett behind him. It takes him to the 3rd inning in most games to see a pitch. Wouldn't we rather have him at #1, also he'd get an extra AB a game. As for Everett's time, he had all of last season to show something. He will hit for mediocre average (.270) and not draw too many walks (mediocre OBP of .300ish). He has less speed than Taveras. What are we waiting for him to do exactly?
Let WillieT get adjusted tothe pitching up here and then the move can be made. There is alot more preasure leading off than hitting in the 8 hole. Don't want to rush the rookie. /baseball sucks
