I'm just interested in seeing how Roy O pitches in his third start with Ausmus. These last two have been great.

    P.S. - The Royals suck. WWW.sweep.com

You may be on to something here...

When Roy first came up, he was downright invincible... and Ausmus was his catcher. The following year, 2002, Roy was on his way to having a 20 win season with a sub 3 ERA, before he tired out at the end, but Ausmus was still his catcher. 2003 was the groin tear year, but when Roy came back in September, he was lights out over his last 4 starts (all caught by Brad) and he still overall had a sub 3 ERA... leading one to make the assumption that when Roy is healthy, and caught by Ausmus, he was downright unstoppable.

Then last year, he got Chavez to catch him (and thus Roy was calling his own games)... and while his overall results were still great (wins and K's), they were not near his career numbers (in terms of ERA).

I'm one of those guys who thinks the catcher/pitcher relationship does actually make a difference... and that Ausmus is one of the best behind the plate at getting his pitchers to trust him, set up batters, and help the pitcher get in that zone where they feel confident that they can throw anything on any pitch and they never second-guess themselves.

If they don't win this series they can forget about the W.C. They have to win 2/3.

Aren't they 11-6 or something like that under their new manager? Not bad, WWL.

Two Texas pitchers in that first match-up - Clemens and Howell. Should be nifty to watch.

WWW, of course. As if I would pick otherwise.

Wow... a 3 spot in the 1st inning when Clemens is on the mound.

    Break up the offense.

So, when DeJesus came to bat - did anyone else think of the Big Lebowski? I'm going to be making bad jokes to myself all series about him.
