He was drafted last year and will be at AA by the end of the year, he is on track. That said, Springer, JD and Ovando are ahead of him in the pecking order.
So, are cossart and singleton still part of the deal, or is it dom to a third team, and sending them to the astros + ????
Time is on our side....yes, it is. http://www.myfoxhouston.com/dpp/sports/mlb/110729-at-least-seven-teams-in-hunt-for-pence FOX 26 Sports has learned there are now seven teams involved in the negotiations with the Houston Astros to land rightfielder Hunter Pence in a trade. Major League Baseball sources told FOX 26 Sports Thursday there were at least six teams invovled including the Philadelphia Phillies, Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds. Sources said the other three teams are in the American League. A new team became involved Friday, but has not been identified either by name or league. MLB sources with knowledge of the talks indicate the Astros could pull the trigger as early as Friday, and are in position to get a deal done by the 3 p..m. CDT deadline Sunday.
I realize most of the focus is on Pence. But could some of the rumors involving these other teams mean that Pence AND 1 or 2 other players are going together in some sort of mega/multi team(s) trade, instead of separate deals for the other players like Wandy, Brett and Bourn?
I think Pence is moved by tonight. That gives Wade a day and a half to try to trade Bourn, Myers, Wandy, and Barmes.
“@JimBowdenESPNxm: Reds Travis Wood has been scratched from his start @ Louisville tonight according to source....possible trade? or call-up? or? #TRADES”
SI_JonHeyman Jon Heyman reeling #reds going hard for bourn, as @Ken_Rosenthal reported. price set by #astros said to be high. #tradedeadline
Travis Wood is a decent lefty. Probably in the same class as JA Happ. It has to be more than just Wood for Bourn if that is the deal.
Agree, probably a little better then Happ but certainly not the center of a Deal for Bourn. Grandal and Corcino or no deal, Reds are desperate and would probably give into Wade's demands.
Why? I don't know much about him, but he's already 25 and his stats don't look too impressive. He looks versatile though.
Astros need to pull Pence and Bourn and put them on the sideline until trade deadline passes in case they get hurt some how.....today game, tomorrow game, and every game for the rest of the season really does not matter bc we stink and hoping for the #1 pick of the draft.....its time to develop the young guys and bring some of them from the minors....
http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ycn-8855695 Keith Frazier had his share of supporters to make the big leagues straight out of spring training in 2011. He has been around the minors for five years or so and has a solid if not spectacular minor league resume. His career average combined is only a modest .281 but he has driven in runs and hit for power at every level. He actually has 74 career home runs in the minors and almost 300 RBIs in five seasons. Those are some serious production numbers at any level of pro baseball. And yes he is very versatile
Time to sell high on these guys like pence, bourn, wandy.....their valuations are the highest it can get going forward......Time to bring in as much assets as we can ala morey......
