Another Rookie Collision! How many is that now!? 3 this season?! They dropped the ball. Burke and Taveras run into eachother. It's scored a double....
Inexperience backfires.... Willy doesn't call of Burke, and Burke ranges too far for a ball. = COLLISION!
Read Mike Hampton's quote. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/baseball/mlb/04/16/bc.bbo.trendythreads.ap/index.html
He excels in situations where he's not taxed with having to protect a lead. But, give him a save situation, or a hold, and he'll revert to mental midgetness. Ugh... Ensberg.... DRIVE the ball.
If we played in the American League, he'd be a great DH. He's just horrible with the glove, remember he cost us a game in NY.
Yea, but if we're playing in a lot of close games (which we are this year), he's just as valuable as a weapon in late-game situations.
I wouldn't say he cost us that game with his error. We had plenty of opportunities that game. Our bats cost us the game.
