What happen to all the hype Austin Kearns use to get. I thought he was going to be a can't miss but it seems like he lost it already.
He's been hurt for the majority of the last two seasons. He's still just 24, so he still has alot of time ahead of him. I wouldn't mind having the Reds OF minus Griffey: Pena, Dunn and Kearns all really good hitters and Dunn is the oldest at 25.
Only problem with Dunn is that he strikes out like no other....well. I guess like Sosa does. Anyways, I guess I would take him though considering how he hits when he makes contact.
Great job last night...although I still think we need Everett out of the leadoff spot...it was nice to finally see some production from a catcher as well. I didn't see the game but was there any talk of why we used Lidge last night knowing Pettitte will be on his usual pitch count today? Did i see that right that he threw like 30 pitches?
According to mlb.com he only threw 16 pitches. I'm pretty sure they just wanted to give him some work since he hadn't pitched in a few days. Ausmus is back in the line up today, with Burke playing left against the lefty Milton.
Bud Light commercial. Guy goes over to annoying chick's apartment. She leaves the room to get Bud Light. He calls up his buddy and is like "she's annoying but I'm desperate". She comes back and says "hey did you meet my parrot?". Then the parrot says "she's annoying but I'm desperate". The chick kicks him out.
Pettite's stuff looks filthy early on. It also helps that the Reds are such a free-swinging club. I'm ecstatic about Andy... its only his 3rd start, and he looks miles ahead of where he was during his 1st.
NOPE. Doesn't look like COX is picking up any of the KNWS games. Last year they carried EVERY televised game. Now, just FSSW!
