    Feels silly to me to not be willing to pay Verlander in the offseason and then still taking on that contract anyway while also losing prospects for the privilege. But I guess no one anticipated the pitching injuries we had. Maybe the Mets are also covering part of his salary. It'll really suck though if we give up any significant minor league pieces for him.

    I mean it sucks that it’s Gilbert but JV wasn’t gonna be free. I’m glad we still have Clifford, Chas, France, and Brown.

    I mean we knew it would be one of Drew or maybe Brown. Got to give something up in this environment . If we resign Tucker it won’t matter . Chas is in our control another 5 years , so it comes down to Tucker

    Yeah a lot of pie in the face of Crane. I know everyone is excited because "TRADE!" but this all could've been avoided. Gilbert was our biggest trade piece.
