I would be surprised to see Peacock come up, but it is worth noting:

Seeing the Astros sell low on Harrell wouldn't surprise me just because it may be worth the time to see the young guys throw the ball around. Just a thought. That being said, anything before the ASB would be unlikely in my uneducated opinion.

Any chance they want to give Harrell several relief appearances hoping he excels in that role and they could move him easier at deadline??

Doubt it. I think it is temporary like they did Bedard.

Think Harrell is in their long term plans as a starter? Obviously it's hard to put a picture together for 2015 at this point, but I can't see Harrell being a potential starter on a 2015 team that could be building towards a true competitor.

Obviously if Bud isn't moved him and Lyles are potential rotation guys on a winner. Bedard is an obvious filler for right now, Dallas I could see as a bullpen arm. Harrell is a tough one to project as far as long term plans for me

I don't think Harrell is necessarily in the future plans at all. I do think this is irrelevant of the trade deadline. I don't think Harrell gets moved. Unlike Bud, he won't even be arbitration eligible.

I'd say Harrell is a potential rotation guy on a winner. He's going to slot into that #4/5 spot or long relief. No reason to consider him part of the future, but no reason to just give him away.

Well, anyway, the corresponding move to Jarred Cosart's promotion is....

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Jimmy Paredes to OKC</p>&mdash; Brian T. Smith (@ChronAstros) <a href="https://twitter.com/ChronAstros/statuses/355172650420674561">July 11, 2013</a></blockquote>

We have probably seen the last of Jimmy Paredes in an Astros uniform.

He needs to get his head screwed on straight, from the last interview I read.

Chris Holt had a good season, too. So did Tim Redding.

He was good the year before that when we finally called him up.

Even this season, he's had some excellent starts, just been very inconsistent.

In 10 of his 19 starts this year he has given up 1 or 0 earned runs, I would guess very very few starters can say that.

But when he has been bad, he has been really bad

It's those walks will be what makes or breaks him. He walked SEVEN a few starts ago. I am hoping that the Cosart that shows control is who makes the start Friday.

Those 10 were tied with the most in the majors. Walks have been bad all year, but the home runs are what usually costs him games. Walks and HR are a bad combination.

Yep, in 6 starts he has given up 5+ runs in 5 or less innings.

And now he's having public (in front of reporters = public, right?) confrontations with his teammates. Great arm, needs to mature quite a bit.
