Well they were predicting rain for right now (like 60-80%) and it still looks perfectly clear to me on the radar. It goes down to like 30% at game time. It looks more and more like they are going to be able to get this double-header in. They might have a short rain delay or two, but nothing looks too serious as it is supposed to clear up at night. EDIT: Weather.com has officially changed the description for gametime from "Showers" to "Few Showers" Looks like we got a double-header.
Kris Benson, baseball's oldest prospect, keeping the Marlins in check for now. Still 2-0. Atleast Redding pitches the 2nd game. Gives us a chance to push the streak to 13.
It's nice to see Hidalgo come out of his 0 for September slump with an RBI single against Weathers. (hmmmm, I guess Baylor hasn't quite fixed that problem in Richard's swing yet).
Love how Weathers comes in and promptly gives up a triple and a single. Props to Dalgy for knocking in that run!
I'm not sure now who's starting the first game for the Pirates. If you read the preview on espn.com, it says a guy named Brooks will be making his first major league start. Everything else I've seen though says it is Perez.
Stros may have to score 12 runs in the first 4 games to get a W. Maybe 15 in the game Redding pitches. His ERA was 6.02 in Triple A.
Perez is starting for the Bucs. He was scheduled yesterday but they were ppd. He has been moved back to today. The game is supposed to start at 4:05 Houston time
