If Boras is Taveras' agent, then we need to trade him now to Florida for Dontrelle. We should have no players on our roster that he the agent of. If he becomes their agent, they should immediately go on the trading block.

I've been a Tavares supporter throughout.

But, I just don't like the way Boras does business. It just doesn't seem to benefit the Astros. Boras uses scare tactics that teams who are under the gun, jump head first into.

The Astros, have talent Berkman and Oswalt. So the scare tactics don't work as well with the Astros. Nobody in Houston is going to want to hang Pupura or Drayton for a big Texas Free Agent Signing. The pressure to outbid other teams for talent isn't put to the ASTROS BY ANYONE worhty. Sure Richards and Lopez talk, but they are two p***y cats. They are ready to kiss the Astros A$$ at any point they can.

Big Contracts for middle of the road talent. Now that is just STUPID.

A better comparison is Juan Pierre. Juan Pierre was garbage last year and had virtually identical stats (except more steals and a lot less strikeouts but batting average, OBP, slugging and RBI were similar) but he got 44 million for 5 years.

Willy will make a ton of money on the market if Juan freaking Pierre is getting 44 million.

what if like the morning after thanksgiving (shopping day) Tim Pupura goes to Lees agaents house and waits outside at like 3am, and maybe he'll get him at a discount price... like, 4 years for 38 dollars or something... just like the ppl staying outside walmart right now.

Willy has never had seasons close to approaching Pierre's best seasons. He's never had a season remotely close to Pierre's 2003 or 2004. At this point, Willy hasn't shown he can have those sorts of seasons.

That doesn't mean he won't. But Pierre has about 4-5 seasons under his belt that I would kill for Willy to have in an Astros uniform. Those sorts of seasons drive up value for a player.

I hope it's the chronicle that's right. 89.9999 whatever would be acceptable.
