Wow... what an amazing job by Qualls to get out of that jam. Still, when the bottom of the inning comes, I'm ready to make the defensive switch of Lane to the OF, Berkman to first and Lamb to the bench... Lamb's given me enough heartattacks for one day.
No matter what the outcome of this game... baseball is truly the "fine arts" of all sports. Who else can see the perfect symmetry here of the first game of the roadtrip contrasted with this last game. Both games featured stellar pitching, ebbs and flows, and a playoff-like feel. Its Beautiful.
I'm giving props to where it's needed. Great game Wandy! That's 2 games in a row where he has thrown really well. EDIT: WEll, that was fast. Lets hope we can get them out this fast in the bottom of the 9th.
THAT"S BS! That should be a foul ball! He swung at that, he got in the way!!!!! GUILLIAN may have broken something. but still, he moved into the pitch, it didn't go at him. He leaned. PLEASE go to EXTRA INNINGS. The Nats half only Castillo left! They are using a starting pitcher for the base runner.
Wheeler has just been amazing this season. Let's make it 26-30 scoreless outings! Go Dan! EDIT: Garner is a FREAKIN genious! Nice catch Bruntlet, I didn't have to hold my breath like I would have with Taveras still out there.
Palmeiro Berkman Ensberg coming up. We gotta get it over with here and let Lidge close it out. Come on score a run!
3rd for wheeler. WOW. Go dan. Hey, you trying to become the new post w****? I'm the master at that. Wheeler is falling behind all these batters.
With the pitchers spot due to lead off next inning, I'm really hoping we can get through this inning without having to use Lidge. I can't recall many times that Garner has allowed Lidge to bat late in a game....
I feel so much better with Bruntlet out there catching fly balls. Taveras would be a complete player if he could read those. Great inning Wheeler! Lets go STros. GET SOME RUNS!!!!
Hey, I'm just making up for lost posting the past few days due to sleep and not watching the games at home. I'll try not to step on your toes.
