We're not going to get anyone worthwhile. We just signed a marginal 2B to play in front of Burke, so why would anyone pay big for him. Plus, they are not very young and can't get in the starting lineup of a 73 win team that doesn't have a very good offense.

Defensively,we shape up to being among the best in baseball up the middle which of course IS A BIG key to winning it all.

And when we're up we have balance in that lineup. There will be many more moving ducks on the pond and along with that many more fastballs for guys like Pence,et al to hit.

The ability to handle the bat in small ball helps us win those close ones and in turn playoff games.....again assuming a remodeling of the pitching staff.

I see no reason why he won't hit .280 + and be taking more ptches with Bourn on the basepaths. My gosh he's hitting in front of Pence....with speed and d.

I actually like it,but understand why you don't.
