I'd like to agree, but he's never been more than average away from Coors either.

Yea...sucks to be traded to Colorado. I bet Willy's stats will look a little better though.

This is a good trade for the Astros. I always liked Jennings.

Yes, I'm sure the Cards are shaking at the thought of having to face Jason Jennings...Pujols and Rolen must be having a good chuckle and will tee off on him come next fall.

looking at the numbers i just posted, that's what concerns me most. but i think kile had that problem too while at colorado...said that pitching there screwed him up even when he was on the road.

well...we'll see. we should be scoring more runs, anyway.

I think, and desperately hope, that has to do with that immobile defense behind him though.

    wow a career 4.74 era.

just gave up way too much....I guess we're giving back to the league since the bagwell deal...

just a horrible trade. why not freddy garcia?

Yeah, a sub 4.00 era is terrible. Why did we trade a lead-off hitter with a .333 OBP? Prospects are prospects. You have no clue how they'll end up. At least they're trading for a guy that's had some success pitching in consistently in the Majors.

But nah, let's b**** b**** and b**** some more!!

Neither were Kile, Hampton, or any other Colorado pitcher... you develop habits during a season that stick with you, regardless of where you pitch.

Look, Jennings may not be a stud... but to say that he will SUCK away from Colorado, and will show no improvement what-so-ever is ridiculous. The guy is a sinker-baller who's thrown 200 innings before... he'll be better than Woody Williams (who people were saying was better than Andy Pettite, just 5 days ago).

Luke Scott would instantly be the worst defensive center fielder to ever play in the majors. He can barely play right field. This says to me that the Astros' boner for Jason Lane will never end no matter what. He will be given a shot at centerfield and I don't why.

But they were cowering in fear of Buchholz and Hirsh? Suuuuuuuuure. Where's King Cheetahs' "unlikely" when you need it.

When did I say this move cut costs?

    Since the Lee/Williams press conference.

Astros could of brought back Pettitte, did not. 14-5.5 (Jennings)=8.5 million -Willy T/Taylor and Jason's contract it's over 9 million

Springer (not good but you know what your gonna get) gone 1.75 million

Clemens will be gone 14? million

Huff gone (not saying he is great but he is better than Ensberg) well not yet but he will be.
    about 7-8 million?

I don't know lets say about 30 million + no Willy T, Clemens, Pettitee, Taylor B, Jason H

Hitting .300 and jacking more HR's for sure. Everyone's stats are inflated in Colorado.

And probably still getting on base at that torrid .333 clip.

Cardinals fans are in agony... they really wanted Jennings.

Too bad our biggest rival's fans are able to give more credit to our team pulling off a trade, than the home-town groupies.

Please show me where I've said he sucks. He's an average SP, and I just think we gave up alot for an average SP in the last year of his contract.
