Saw Graveman injury on here and didn’t know what was going on. Out for the season.

May need to sign another reliever even with Hader.

I honestly haven't heard of him throwing a descent pitch in 5 years.

I love clean contracts encumbered only with a no trade clause and a reliever of the year incentive.

Love the signing... but Astros proved their issues were starters in the first inning of big games. Can Hader spot start?

What's that, like a turbo-splitter? Or an ephus?

Astros shouldn’t need an impact bat if they stay healthy but they could greatly benefit having a third LH bat who can PH or play sparingly off the bench.

With Hader, Pressley, and Abreu the Astros have the horses to hold onto a lead when it counts.

Verlander, Valdez, Javier, McCullers, Hunter Brown, Garcia, Urquidy should have enough innings in them to get you into the 5th inning.

Pitching has serious questions, but it has plenty of talent to make it respectable.

Astros reunion with Maton looking more and more likely. Which is welcome news.

I still think we need to add one more bullpen arm.

Would love it to be Matt Moore. He's 34, he won't be that expensive.

Other option is praying for Montero to earn some of his gaudy 11.5 million dollar price tag.

Astros moving a closer into a setup role who is a perfect 14 for 14 saves, 4 for 4 holds and 3-0 record in playoff history is gangsta.

Would have been nice to have Maldy here to catch for Hader and make him virtually unhittable...

They now have the best 7-8-9 in baseball and strengthened their case as the AL favorite, again. I'm guessing they've talked to Press and he understands the business and what this means for the success of the team. Not to mention he's getting paid pretty well and has a mutual option after this season if he doesn't like the arrangement. I feel like they're going to both get their saves while being given the ability to not get over-used and be fresher for the playoffs. Pressley isn't exactly young at this point so fewer innings wouldn't be a terrible thing.

If Montero can be the 2022 version, this pen in the playoffs is ridiculously loaded.

His option becomes guaranteed if he pitches in 50+ games this year.

I don't know how much difference there is in RH vs LH success since both have to be good against both, but one does throw from the right (Pressley) and one does throw from the left (Hader) if it makes a difference. I'm not sure they've figured out exactly how they will be used.

But they're over the cap already with the Hader signing.
