Astros, Josh Hader agree to 5 year, $95 million contract

If he is dogging it then he is a spoiled punk. He’s in the middle of a very lucrative contract. It’s not his place to question the FO or to demand anything. It’s his job to hit the ball and play defense and be the best teammate he can be. He certainly is being compensated enough to do that. It shouldn’t even be a question.

 

FWIW I agree that there is no scenario where I think his behavior is justified.

I do understand his reasons, so would be willing give him the benefit of the doubt that this COULD be a decision based on a specific factor, and not necessarily his character.

I would stop short of labeling him or name calling based on it.

But it would give me pause and be something I would want to be very clear of and make sure both sides understood each other and were accepting of their respective expectations before pursuing him.

That Said, I would love to see him on the Astros as long as he didn't pull this crap in Navy and Orange.

 

His “reasons” are not justified.

 

I think I would prefer to extend Tucker and keep my prospects for other purposes.

 

If he is doing it to his current team he does not belong in Navy and Orange under any circumstances.

I think what happened was that when you could no longer effectively defend Dusty for playing Maldy over Diaz, you became “tired of it” and just tell everyone to shut up now. Just cover your ears (or eyes) and scream “I can’t hear you!” over and over again.
