I'm not sure you can pin this one on Uncle D. He gave the green light for the trade and picked up a pretty hefty part of Roy's salary. It's up to the GM to make a good deal, and it just doesn't seem like Wade got enough from his old buddies in Philadelphia (again!)

There are some reports that McClane made the deal, not Wade. I have no idea if there's any truth to that, just something I read from a number of people on the Astros board. I tend to this this is Wade screwing the pooch though, but I still hate McClane.
So when do we cue the: "What we only got __________ instead of ____________ for Gose!! He was a potential 5-Tool outfielder, like Carl Crawford 2.0. Ed Wade is horrible!"
