Gose was their number #6 prospect on some boards, still don't like the trade but he was highly rated in their system.
Roy and Happ were both scheduled to pitch tomorrow. Hey, Happ has a 1.76 ERA this year...in three games.
The Astros will flip newly-acquired prospect Anthony Gose to the Blue Jays, reports ESPN's Jayson Stark. The speedy, defensively-talented center fielder went to Houston as part of the Roy Oswalt deal. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/
Yeah, in the Majors. During his rehab assignment, he was a spotless 1-2 with a 5.97 ERA with a 1.75 WHIP in 37.2 IP. I've said it before, but I think Happ's performance last season was a fluke. His stuff just isn't overpowering enough to put up those sorts of numbers on a consistent basis.
That's an understatement. His Morey one was awesome: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=5481198&postcount=6 This one is even better. Still laughing every time I look at it.
Wow, Philly made out like gangbusters on this deal. Only giving up players that meant nothing to their organization and on top of that getting Astros to pay some of Roy's salary. I'm starting to see even more now why Philly fans think this guy is incompetent to be a GM. Oh well, at least we can look forward to Uncle D. selling this team.
right, because the criticisms of the astros front office just started today. that's true, if today is july 29, 199something.
meme your own frustration out: http://memegenerator.net/ed-wade-red-mustang and thx for the kudos peeps
Have you heard any confirmation about the money? I am never amazed by the resident tomato throwers and their ability to immediately prejudge a trade involving prospects they know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about. Fools, all of ye. Tap the brakes you morans.
holy ****. what on earth? wonder what we could possibly be getting. some of drayton's roy money back?
