I look through their contracts and I only further cement my opinion that they are a stupid organization. Ibanez contract, Polanco at $5 million instead of Lee, Howard contract...
My sources tell me that FSHouston all be having a special entitled "The Future" And during the special...Roy will decide wether to take his talents to west Philly. Or to **** up the Astros future...
Stark: sonst Hearing Oswalt not a fan of Citizens Bk Pk, but he's 4-0, 2.60 ERA in 4 starts-tied with Coors for best win pct at any current park. #trades
the image of Roy sitting on a tractor saying: "i've decided to take my talents to philly" is just too much.
Roy could've said he wouldn't waive his NTC under any circumstance a la Carlos Lee and Derek Lee. The fact that he's willing to do so, no matter what his demands are, is better than the alternative. He's not f***ing up our future if he decides at the last second not to waive it. That's his right. If you want to direct blame for the state of this organization, don't look at Oswalt.
Here was one guy's ranking of the Top 20 Philly prospects as of the end of 2009: http://www.minorleagueball.com/2009/12/18/1207506/philadelphia-phillies-top-20 I don't know John Sickels but here's his Wiki entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Sickels
Does anyone really think Oswalt will say no to Halladay? That's a nasty 1-2 in the playoffs, and don't forget Hamels
LOL. They have no idea about Roy. He definitely isn't a Philly guy. In the end, money talks and he will be traded.
Is he getting more money by being traded? If anything he will lose money as doesn't PA have a state income tax+higher costs of living?
Todd Zoelecki RT Ken's report of no Singleton. Asked him if he's sticking by his report or going with Ken's. Reponse:
Lots of coffee + many cigarettes + this = blood pressure shooting up. I hope there's a resolution soon. Damn, I just realized I never saw Roy O pitch, live.
I'm not sure I ever have either. In the 10 years since I moved from Houston, I've only been to maybe 10 games. 1 was Jose Lima in 2000 when he broke his 13 game losing streak. 1 was Clemens in the 2004 NLCS. I know I saw Shane Reynolds. Backe once or twice. Can't remember if I ever got to see Roy.
