WTF was that Viz... there's no other reason for a shift.... or, apparently, Bonds is so good that he creates spin on the ball that nobody else does. Ugh.... that lead went fast. (but, kudos to Carlos for actually getting Bonds out... minus the error). EDIT: CB Bucknor must have the highest average runs scored, per games he calls behind the plate... you have to throw it RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE to get even close to a call. Hopefully, Tomko will suffer as well.
Missed a grounder right too him on the shift... of course, maybe he wasn't expecting Bonds to actually ground out to someone. It is rare.
Yea...umm...it appears he miscalculated the trajectory of the projectile which was hit his way. Umm...yea...did you get the memo on the new TPS report headers? Umm...we're gonna need you to use the new format. Umm...yea....
When did Mike Lamb become a good defensive 3rd baseman? Seriously? At the beginning of they year, I'd cringe at a ball hit towards him, but now he's making some nice picks and solid throws. Los just doesn't have it tonight. Even the outs are hard hit. Biggio leads the 3rd off with a walk. Time to get the bats going again.
maybe they could have... but with the way the bats were swinging against Milwaukee, we needed Clemens there on the mound. If we would have lost that game, it wouldn't have mattered if Clemens was pitching tonight or not... we'd be even further back. Bottom line... the Astros bats HAVE to get to Tomko and this awful Giants bullpen to have a shot anyways. The Giants are a very prolific offensive team (thanks to Bonds)... they will score runs, you can count on that no matter who is on the mound.
