I'm well aware florida is stuck in the division with Atlanta and we aren't. But its not all about being a crappy division. Why hasn't houston folded while having their two pitching aces have terrible years by their standards and one has been on the DL practically half the year. What about the offense not clicking together like it should most of the year? Kent missed a month yet we held it together, same as with hidalgo. As I mentioned earlier ensberg, the bullpen, hidalgo, redding/robertson have been surprises, but this team has not clicked on all cylinders once this year and yet they are still 9 games over 500 at 60-51. With their aces sucking and key hitters struggling for months and some getting injured for months, its remarkable they are in first place. It would have been easy to fold the tent but they haven't. That's called heart, determination, etc. Which is what the previous poster questioned houston on, and thought florida had because they show more "emotion" on the field.

The reply wasn't about me knocking florida's accomplishments, nor questioning if they have heart, but disproving his belief houston doesn't play with heart. And as far as florida goes, they have had a lot go right in the last few months. Willis, lowell's career year, pierre having a career year on the bases, redman's career year, etc. The big loss for the fish was burnett, but they have so many guys playing at their peak level it doesn't matter.

I could only wish houston had the same kind of luck this year, but we don't. And you can't have that bad of luck and be 9 games over 500 and in first place without heart. Without heart, you fold when the going gets tough. The astros have done no such thing. You can use a mediocre division as an excuse if you want, but the fact remains being 9 games over 500 and in first place with all of their troubles this year indicates a lot of heart, rather than the opposite that franchiseclutch claimed.

Finally, I want to reiterate that I wasn't questioning florida's heart but disproving franchiseclutch's idea houston has none, but yet is decently over 500 and in first place. And also disproving his theory florida is a better team, even though houston won 5 out of 6 games against them. It will be interesting to see how florida handles being in a pennant race and the national spotlight the rest of the year to be honest.

Especially if anything goes wrong for them.
